Terrace House

Brief

Terrace houses are found throughout the older inner suburbs of Australian capital cities established in the 19th century. In Sydney. they are a distinctive house-type that give a special character to the areas in which they are found.

This project was designed for a famous Australian Palaeontologist, and looked at the process of layering and earthy natural materials.

Apartment Renovation

Brief

Lisa Cahill is a young Australian artist renown for her work with kiln formed and cold work glass.

Recognising the fluidity and character of Lisa Cahill’s artwork, our design serves to exploit and embed the nature of the glass materials that she uses within the overall living space for the apartment. Through pairing uniquely sculptured glass with harsh material elements including concrete, I created an interesting juxtaposition, which will highlight the unique material qualities that she is exposed to throughout her practice.
